What does "AMC" mean????

Hello everyone!

My name is Anna Maria and it has been 9 years since I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I’m 13 years old now and I am on an Insulin pump which will help me in controlling my sugar numbers.

I would like to say thank you for your generous donations and supporting our golf outing over the past 8 years. While we have made great strides in finding a cure, we still don’t have one. I’m confident that this will happen one day but not without your continued support. So, come out for a fun day of golf and great prizes. You will not only help me but all the kids around the world that have this disease. Please help us find a cure!!!

If you are someone with diabetes. Don't be afraid, be happy! Stay well! Don't let diabetes manage you. Instead you manage it. Remember watch what you eat. This doesn't mean that you should avoid sweets all together. You can enjoy all sorts of food but don't forget to take your medication. And yeah, Exercise everyday!!!!!

MISSION...

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is the leading funder and advocate of Type 1 diabetes research worldwide. The Mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and it’s complications through research. Type 1 diabetes strikes children suddenly, makes them dependent on injected insulin for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications. As many as 3 million Americans may have Type 1 diabetes. Each year more than 13,000 children are diagnosed with diabetes in the US. Type 1 diabetes is a disease which strikes in childhood, adolescence, or adulthood, but lasts a lifetime.

Thank you...

We would like extend our sincere "Thank You" foryour generous donation in supporting our 8th Annual Golf Outing. The golf outing went off perfectly. Many thanks to "all" that helped us that day. Everyone who attended had a fantastic time and are looking forward to next year’s 9th Annual AMC Golf Outing, to be held at Jumping Brook Country Club on Monday, September 15, 2014. With your help, we were able to raise over $5,800 for the JDRF. We look forward to working with you again next year. Remember, insulin is not a cure, but a treatment
